Elizabeth McDavid Jones (“Liz”) is the author of many historical mysteries for children. Her latest books are the Felicity mysteries from American Girl: PERIL AT KING’S CREEK, and TRAITOR IN WILLIAMSBURG. A new Felicity mystery is coming in Spring 2009. (For more of Felicity’s adventures, try the movie on DVD: Felicity: An American Girl---Liz didn’t write it but it’s great!)
Liz wrote five books from the American Girl History Mystery series, too: The Night Flyers, Secrets on 26th Street, Watcher in the Piney Woods, Mystery on Skull Island, and Ghost Light on Graveyard Shoal, AND two newspaper serial stories available from Hot Topics Hot Serials (www. hottopicshotserials.com): Menace on Horse Creek Trail, and The Secret Life. The Night Flyers won an Edgar Award and Ghost Light on Graveyard Shoal was an Agatha Award finalist. You can also find Liz’s stories and plays in American Girl Magazine and the mini-books American Girl Today.
When Liz is not being a writer, she stays busy with her five children, her "surfin’" husband Rick, and a mountain of dirty laundry. She lives in the beautiful foothills of central Virginia.
